The greatest gift, after life and faith, given to me by my parents was moving our family to Arizona when I was a child. We settled in south Scottsdale, where I finished elementary school, then graduated from Coronado High.
During this period, through our church community, I gained a mentor who owned acreage around Clay Springs, in Rim Country. I was hooked. There I learned to use most tools, from a shovel to a backhoe. I learned how to improvise and was able to develop critical thinking skills.
In my adult life I have been a small business owner and continue to operate a family business with my wife Kerry, who I met at the 1993 Payson Rodeo Dance. Today, we are the grateful stewards of a couple acres in Gila County, just under the Mogollon Rim.
Politically, I have been a lifelong Republican, a constitutional conservative, coming to age with Ronald Reagan in the White House. I became a Republican Precinct Committeeman in 2011.
I was twice elected to the Maricopa County Republican Committee, Executive Guidance Council, as a Member-at-Large. I was the Maricopa County coordinator for Gabby Mercer’s 2014 CD 3 race when she ran against Marxist Raul Grijalva.
I was the volunteer coordinator, censuring Sen. John McCain for his failures to follow Republican values.
I have caucused as a Gila County Republican Committee precinct committee since 2020 and am now a candidate for the Arizona House, LD 7.
Why am I running.
I am running because I didn’t believe that we had two good choices for Arizona House representation in our LD 7. One candidate had previously sponsored reprehensible legislation that included a liberal California style “Ranked Choice” primary election voting bill. Another candidate had voted with the Democrats to expel a FELLOW Republican from the Arizona House. Yet another candidate had attempted to harm Arizona with the creation of a new political party which would have siphoned off enough votes to put the Democrats in power.
It must be policy over personality. I could either complain and watch our Arizona continue to slide into liberalism or I could stand and fight. I choose to fight.
I am sick and tired of electing representatives who are unwilling and/or unable to fight. A recent example of what can happen when real Republicans fight is Congressman Matt Gaetz, along with our own CD 2, Constitutional Conservative Congressman Eli Crane, and AZ CD 6 Andy Biggs, demonstrated great courage and tactics when they forced a new Speaker of the House; even though, Speaker Johnson is also proving to be a disappointment and should be replaced; however, the establishment wing of the Republican Party has been put on notice.
Like many of you, I am fatigued of weak Republicans who fail to fight. An example of a squandered opportunity is the legislatures’ failure to force Governor Ducey to convene a special session of the legislature to address election integrity. Correctly, this should have taken place after the 2022 General Election, prior to when the Illegitimate current governor took office, January, 2023. Republicans still had control during this time, but failed to act.
Another example of weakness of our legislatures is their failure to stand up against forced mandates, which are NOT laws. Strong representatives, for We the People, should always stand up against tyrants and lead the citizens in protest against draconian subversion of our liberties. During the China Covid lockdowns, of families, churches, and business, I saw no evidence of servant leadership from the then Arizona House of Representatives, which two individuals are my current competition for this race.
With Hobbs as Governor, it is critical that we maintain the Republican majorities in both the house and senate. It is also critical that we elect rock solid We the People candidates and remove the RINOs from office.
Should I not receive the nomination for the LD 7 House, I pledge to support the candidates that do receive the Republican nomination.
